Here are some photos from our adventures on the ship:
This is our boat (well the front half at least), the Golden Princess.
Ellen and me enjoying our embarkation champagne on the balcony as we cruise out of Seattle.
With my parents on the balcony.
Me on the boat in front of the pool in front of an Alaskan glacier.
On the balcony of our cabin after 11pm and its still light out!
The cruise staff at the talent show (also knows as what happens to many RAs after college).
Me and Ellen at dinner.
Some lady in the worst dress ever made. Its hard to see, but those triangles are actually pieces cut out of the fabric showing her rolls of fat through it. And they are everywhere! People were screaming in terror when she walked by (really they were!)
With my parents on the last night on the boat.
Dad and me.
The whole family before dinner: Uncle Jerry, Aunt Terry, Aunt Donna, Mom, Uncle Charles, me (in back), Step-Grandma Joanne, Grandpa Norman, and Dad. (Not pictured, Ellen, not family, who took photo)
Coming Out Of The DarkChild: The Pussycat Dolls rack up a second week a #1 this week with the DarkChild produced "When I Grow Up". "When I Grow Up" becomes the 4th #1 song on this chart produced by DarkChild. The first was year a year end #4 monster hit "The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy and Monica. The Spice Girls benefited from DarkChild with their 9th #1, "Holler". Then DarkChild's magic seemed to fade until this year, when Janet Jackson's "Feedback" spent 3 weeks at #1.
Close to 1: Girls Aloud march up one spot this week to #2 with "Close to Love". Aside from the groups 4 #1's ("Biology", "Watch Me Go", "Walk This Way" (featuring Sugababes), and "Singapore"), "Close to Love" becomes the group's 3rd #2 peaking hit (along with "Models" and "The Show"). Add another 5 top 5 peaking singles into the mix and Girls Aloud have in just over 2 1/2 chart years become one of the top single producing groups of the decade. It looks as if "Close to Love" is as close as it's going to get to the summit this week however, but watch out as "Girl Overboard" is poised to debut in the next few weeks. (PS, I think Sims videos are excellent substitutions when real ones aren't made as seen below)
We went to Eagle Canyon Adventures, which is approx. 45 minutes east of Thunder Bay. This is the first time that I've used the digital camera that I received for Christmas.

In the morning two days ago I was watering the potted plants outside when I noticed movement behind me. It turned out to be a kitty... no, make that... OMG!!!KITTEH!!! Such a cute 'lil bugger. But I resolutely ignored it hoping it would just pass by. It stood behind me for a few minutes but did leave out the front gate.
Today I had just boiled some chicken (letting it cool off to shred) and was finishing washing the dishes when I noticed the time. I went to open the garage door so my mother didn't have to. I opened the front door and sitting there staring right at me was OMG!!!KITTEH!!! The moment I made eye contact it started to cry pitifully. I opened the security door a crack ready to step out quickly when the 'lil bugger dashed forward and tried crawling inside. I don't think so kitty! I gently shoved it away with my foot and darted out the door then heading left towards the garage area. From behind me OMG!!KITTEH!! dashed forward a few feet ahead of me and waited for me. I passed it and again it dashed forward and waited. It did that all the way and then back to the front door. I darted back in and closed the door. The moment it closed OMG!!!KITTEH!! cried and cried and cried. It was so tempting to bring it in, but no, I must be strong! I did go outside to give it water and snap a few pictures. (It was ~105°F/40.5°C outside, btw) Back inside I could hear it crying more. So I broke a rule I'd never did before. I took a pinch of the cooked chicken and give it to OMG!!!KITTEH!!! and darted back in. It continued to cry for a while and then it stopped. Ten minutes later I checked and noticed OMG!!!KITTEH!!! and the chicken were gone.
Going UP: The Pussycat Dolls make a giant leap from #10 to #1 this week with "When I Grow Up." This becomes the second #1 for the PCD, after "Don't Cha", which ended up as the year end #2 song of 2004. "When I Grow Up" is not the only song to make an impressive jump into the top 5. Girls Aloud capture yet another top 3 hit with "Close To Love" and fellow Brit Duffy scores her first top 5 single. The rest of the top 5 is rounded out by former #1s from Jann Arden and last week's champ Natasha Bedingfield, who slips one spot to #2. Elsewhere, Jesse McCartney's "Leavin'", penned by the Dream, reaches a new peak at #9, becoming both Jesse and The Dream's best efforts on the chart. The Dream, you may know, wrote the chart bomb (here) "Umbrella", and Mariah Carey failed to chart "Touch My Body".
